North Pointe’s Community Outreach
Program, Prep Cares, is expanding for
the 2008-2009 school year and will
introduce a new format that will feature
four major projects. Each project will
highlight a specific aspect of the Prep
Care’s vision: to Serve, Share, Shape,
and Support.
Serving our Veterans
Beginning with a 9/11 Memorial Service,
Prep Cares Remembering Our Heroes
Program will focus on Serving America’s
Veterans and their families. The eight
week project, which will include
collecting supplies for those currently
serving overseas and assisting
Veterans here at home, will conclude
with a Veterans Day Ceremony on
November 10th.
Sharing our Resources
During the Holiday Season, Prep Cares
Holiday Sharing Program will focus on
Sharing with those in our community
who are less fortunate. The three week
project, which will include collecting food
and helping at a food bank, will run from
December 1st through the 19th.
Shaping our Future
From January 12th through March 11th,
Prep Cares Elementary Mentoring
Program will focus on Shaping students
academically as they prepare for AIMS
testing.
Supporting our Hurting
During the Spring, Prep Cares
Cause We Care Program will focus on
Supporting health agencies as they
assist those in our community afflicted
with illness and disease. The five week
project will begin April 6th and run
through May 8th.
