American/Arizona History
Students learn to analyze the human experience through time, to recognize the relationships of events and people and to identify patterns,
themes, ideas, beliefs and turning points in American/Arizona history.

American/Arizona Government
Students will develop an understanding of the ideas, rights and responsibilities of citizenship The content, meaning and historical
importance of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Mayflower Compact will be examined.
Grade:  8

Latin Cultures
The course will explore the Latin Culture through  traditions, government, economics, geography, cuisine, and language.
Grade: 7-8 (Elective)
Length: 1 Semester
Prerequisite: None

Politics
This course will focus on American politics.  The observation and study of the political process and the role politics play in US
government. The course will also cover some of the widely-know debates on controversial issues such as capital punishment, the war in
Iraq, religious freedom, corporal punishment, freedom of speech, etc.
Grade: 7-8 (Elective)
Length: 1 Semester
