The Cougars final drive was stopped by a huge tackle by Corey McKinney. Justin Tabor followed with a 32 yard field goal to secure the win. The Falcons passed for over 279 yards including touchdowns by Bryce Harris and Matt Arellano. Quarterback Jesse Rico ran for the Prep's other touchdown. Tabor was successful on all three PAT's. North Pointe's defense, led by Dakota Kallas' 10 tackles, also scored with a safety. Zach Bustoz (5 tackles) and Ryan Chuigo (4 tackles) had 2 sacks each. Nathan Rice (5 tackles) had a fumble recovery. Although the Prep ran for 138 yards, including an impressive 30 yard touchdown run by Sean O'Donoghue (extra point by Justin Tabor), and passed for 116 yards, they failed to sustain drives because of dropped balls and red zone interceptions. The defense, led by Zach Bustoz (13 tackles), Dakota Kallas (11 tackles) and Corey McKinney (10 tackles) once again spent a majority of the second half on the field. North Pointe's inability to defend a fake punt allowed the Eagles to covert long fourth down attempts at critical points in the game. game statistics morning show game 3 preview video highlights photo slide show photo thumbnail gallery
