Prep's Katherine Tiernan named to Southwest Region Honor Band
Sophomore flute player Katherine Tiernan earned a chair in the Southwest Region
Honor Band. Auditions were held at Mountain Ridge High School on January 30th. The
flute auditions consisted of scales, three prepared etudes and sight-reading.
Tiernan and the 100 piece Southwest Region Band performed at McClintock High
School on Saturday February 20th. The concert included band, choir and orchestra.
Katherine is the first North Pointe flute player to ever make Regional Band and will
audition for All-State Band on March 12th and 13th.
