Competition Cheer 2009-2010 Tournament Summaries
UCA West Coast Championship at Universal Studios in California
An early drop, on what ended up being a very good routine, cost the Prep the UCA 2010 West Coast Championship and their third straight national title. The
three-time, including the last two years, defending champs did manage to take second place. Hawaii's Kamehameha HIgh School took the Championship with
a flawless and energetic routine.

AIA State Championship at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott
For the third straight year, the Prep's Competition Cheer Team won the AIA 1A-3A State Championship in the coed cheer division. "As soon as our routine
was over I knew we won," said Coach Erin Idczak. The Tim's Toyota Center crowd also appreciated the Falcon's routine and erupted into a huge applause as
the team hit a perfect pyramid for their third title.

UCA Cactus Cup Competition at Dodge Theater
For the first time in three years, the Prep's Competition Cheer Team lost a tournament placing second at the Cactus Cup held at the Dodge Theatre. The
Coed Division was won by 5A Powerhouse Hamilton High School. Although the Falcon's routine was good, despite two drops, it was no match for Hamilton's
impressive performance.

AIA Regionals at Shadow Mountain High School
For the third year in a row, the Prep's Competition Cheer Team won first place in the coed division at the AIA 1A-3A Regional Championships at Shadow
Mountain High School. "We were almost victims of our own success," said Competition Cheer Coach Erin Idczak. "Being the two-time defending State
Champions brings a lot of crowd support from our fans as well as from other schools. The audience was so loud during our routine our team had a hard time
hearing the music and our timing was off a couple of times. But it was a good routine for the first competition of the season."
