Honk
The musical extravaganza HONK! was brilliantly performed to a standing-room-only crowd. The audience was taken to a
land of farm and swamp animals where they laughed and cried with the characters onstage. Philip Amerine led the
talented, enchanting cast as the ‘Ugly’ duckling who discovers his true inner beauty as well as a beautiful outside when he
becomes a swan. “Philip used his amazing voice and his very intelligent acting ability to create a character that goes
through a huge transformation,” said the show’s director, Mrs. Gray.  “He makes the little ‘Ugly’ a lovable and sweet child,
while the older more mature swan is dashing and handsome with the same sweet charm.”

Alicia Frazier was also a must-see as the wicked French Cat. “Alicia allowed her cat to be flirty, funny and downright mean
some of the time, but the audience still was able to relate to the fabulous feline,” said Mrs. Gray. “I was so impressed with
not only her voice, but the way she used her entire voice to create a very believable cat.  The entire cast was on fire for
this performance and the audience was very appreciative. Mrs. Winzeler (Musical Director) and I are so proud of all of
these students!”
