Game 8 vs Phoenix Country Day
The Lady Falcons combined good pitching, hitting and defense to get their first win of the season over Phoenix Country Day, 12-7. The Prep began
the game with some hot bats in the first inning. Lead-off hitter Taylor Little started it off with a triple, followed by singles by Nichole McGinnis and
Samantha Wilson. Heather Ritchey and Deana Baum also reached base on walks for a total of 3 runs in the first inning. The Lady Falcons kept their
hot bats through out the game. Little got on base 4 out of 5 at bats with 3 triples (one on an error) a single and stolen base. She scored 4 of the 12
runs in the game. McGinnis tallied 3 runs and an RBI off 2 singes, a double on an error and 2 stolen bases. Ritchey added 2 runs off of a walk and a
double (RBI). Baum only had one run on the evening but had 2 doubles, each of which brought in runs for 2 RBI and kept the batting going by drawing
2 walks. Samantha Wilson also had 2 singles that both brought a run in for 2 RBIs. Great base running al;so helped the Lady Falcons as well. The
Falcons stepped it up on defense committing only 5 errors. First baseman LeAnn McGovern and Shortstop Ritchey had a busy night being involved in
7 plays apiece. Second baseman Little and Shortstop Ritchey (the ultimate duo) owned the field making a total of 11 plays. McGinnis also did a great
job behind the plate allowing only 2 wild pitches to get past her and only 2 stolen bases. Pitcher Amber Baggiore took the win with an outstanding
performance. She pitched a complete game facing 36 batters, giving up only 6 hits, walking 4, and striking out 3 for a total of only 7 runs - of which
only 5 were earned.

Game 7 vs Valley Christian
North Pointe was overpowered by the Trojans from Valley Christian and lost 20-6. The Lady Falcon's offensive attack was limited to the 4th inning. In
the top of the 4th, the Prep drew 3 off walks to load the bases. Taylor Little and Nichole McGinnis brought in 3 runs off of singles and Heather Ritchey
brought the rest in with a triple. Deana Baum also got in the action with a sacrifice fly to center to bring in Heather Ritchey for a total of 6 runs in the
inning.

Game 6 vs Northwest Christian
The Prep could not overcome 12 errors and lost to Northwest Christian, 16-1. The Lady Falcons only managed 2 hits (both doubles by Deana Baum
and Brittani Jajdelski) which accounted for the 1 run earned in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Game 5 vs Horizon Honors
The Lady Falcons scored 7 runs but were unable to overcome 8 defensive errors and lost to Horizon Honors, 17-7. Pitcher Katrinna McGinnis started
the game and went 4 innings 7 with 3 strikeouts. Offensively the Lady Falcons did well and started off strong scoring 2 runs off of a lead-off single by
Taylor Little and oubles by Heather Ritchey and Brittani Jajdelski. In innings 3 and 4 the Prep scored a total of 5 runs drawing 4 walks and a hit by
pitch. Deana Baum and Little both hit doubles followed by singles by Nichole McGinnis and Ritchey. Baum also hit a sacrifice fly to bring in a run.

Game 4 vs Valley Christian
The Lady Falcon's Freshmen Amber Baggiore pitched a great game against Valley Christian facing 32 batters in 4 innings striking out 4 and giving up
only 4 earned runs. The Trojans, however, proved too much for the Prep and defeated the Lady Falcons 21-6. Although North Pointe's defense
committed 5 errors, they did catch 2 runners stealing and made a double play on a line out to shortstop Heather Ritchey who handed it off to 2nd
baseman Taylor Little for the force out at 2nd. The Prep scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a lead off hit by Taylor Little, a singles by
Nichole McGinnis and Tori Nannis, and an error by the Trojans. Ritchey also hit a triple in the bottom of the 5th and later stealing home to score the
last run of the night.

Games 3 vs Phoenix Country Day
North Pointe exploded for 17 runs in game two of the double header with Phoenix Country Day but couldn't hold PCD on defense and lost 23-17. The
Lady Falcons took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning (11-8) scoring 10 runs and holding the lead until the bottom of the 4th when the Eagles scored
8 runs (16-11). In the top of the 3rd ,Amber Baggiore started the inning off with a double. Taylor Little followed with a single to bring in Amber and
Nichole McGinnis walked. LeAnn McGovern was hit by a pitch and Little stole home on a passed ball. Brittani Jajdelski followed with a double bringing
in McGinnis and McGovern.  Both Tori Nannis and Victoria Rivera loaded the bases walking. Amber Baggiore got on base again by hitting a single.  
Little and Nichole McGinnis both got on base and were hit in on a double by Ritchey (who had 2 doubles) resulting in a 10 run inning.  The Eagles then
scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 4th but the Lady Falcons responded with a Heather Ritchey GRAND SLAM off the scoreboard in left-center field.

Game 2 vs Phoenix Country Day
Phoenix Country Day defeated the Lady Falcons on a 2 hitter, 19-2. The Prep's two hits came on a single by Nichole McGinnis in the top of the 1st and
a double by Heather Ritchey in the top of the 4th inning. The Falcon's 2 runs resulted from walks and great base running.
