Regionals
The Boys team finished 12th out of 15th at Regionals in the Prep's first season of Cross Country. The girls could not qualify as a team because they
did not have the minimum 5 runners. The top six teams at Regionals qualified for State. Individually, Amber Farmer finished 56th, 31:32 and Tanya
Maldonado was 56th, 33:44. For the boys, Jack Martin was the Prep's first runner to cross the finish line in 18:43 for 40th place. He was followed by
Gianni Vaiente, 19:23 and 48th; Austin Mosher, 58th, 20:18; Conner Carpenter, 68th, 21:00; Mike Carnicle, 75th, 21:52; James Smith, 77th, 22:14;
and Angel Bernal, 80th, 22:27. Eight of the nine runners had their best times of the year.
Meet 2 at Fountain Hills
The Fountain Hills Multi Cross Country Meet featured eight schools with 74 boy and 39 girl runners competing. The Prep's boys team finished 7th. The
Falcon's girls team competed as individuals but did not as a team because they did not have the required minimum of 5 girls. Boy's Times: Mosher -
22:24 (22nd), Martin - 22:09 (29th), Vaiente - 22:42 (33rd), Carpernter - 23:25 (40th), Casselamn - 24:06 (44th),Carnicle - 25:52 (57th), Bernal -
27:55 (68th), Smith - 27:58 (69th), Shoemaker - 29:42 (72nd). Girl's Times: Farmer - 35:59 (28th), Maldonado - (33rd).
Meet 1 at Phoenix Country Day
In North Pointe's first Cross Country meet in the AIA, Freshmen Austin Mosher finished 11th out of a field of 49 runners. This was Moshers first attempt
at Cross Country and his 19:43 time for the three mile event was only 7 seconds behind the 5th place time. The meet featured six schools. The Prep's
boys team finished 5th beating the host school Phoenix Country Day. The Falcon's girls team competed as individuals but did not as a team because
they did not have the required minimum of 5 girls. Boy's Times: Mosher - 19:43 (11th), Martin - 22:42 (19th), Carpenter - 22:53 (21st), Carnicle -
23:51 (27th), Casselman - 24:35 (28th), Caulkins - 26:43 (32nd), Vaiente - 27:12 (36th), Bernal - 30:26 (41st), Smith - 31:43 (44th). Girl's Times:
Farmer - 34:43 (17th), Maldonado - 34:44 (18th).
