As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership.  Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name.  These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search.  However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

Game 17 vs Camp Verde
Camp Verde escaped with a one point victory in the Falcons final game of the regular season, 46-45. “Camp Verde’s size took its toll on us down the
stretch,” said Coach Bob Smith. “Losing by one point hurts, however, we gave Camp Verde all they could handle tonight.”  Corey McKinney played well
for the Falcons scoring 18 points and 6 steals.  Senior Erik Johnson, in his final regular season game for the Falcons, scored 10 points - going 2 for 4
from behind the 3 points line.

Game 16 vs Scottsdale Christian
Lead by Jake Gray’s 10 points, the Falcons couldn’t find enough fire power to compete with the #1 team in the State, Scottsdale Christian. The
Falcons fell 83,26. “We had a rough night shooting the ball - 21% as a team,” said Coach Bob Smith.  “It was a combination of our poor shot selection
and Scottsdale Christians good man to man defense that hurt us tonight.”

Game 15 vs Northwest Christian
Erik Johnson went out with a bang on senior night leading the Falcons in scoring with 12 points.  Johnson went 4 for 9 behind the 3 point line.  “I was
happy to see Erik shoot the ball well for us tonight,” said Coach Bob Smith.  “I can’t say enough good things about Erik. He has been our leader all
season long.”  Northwest used their size advantage to build a big lead and never looked back winning 93-33.  “They are a very good basketball team,”
continued Coach Smith. “I want to thank all the fan support that came out Saturday, on senior night; it was great to see our gym packed.”

Game 14 vs Horizon Honors
In their best game of the season, the Falcons defeated Horizon Honors 71-65. “I was extremely proud of how our team played tonight,” said Coach Bob
Smith.  This marked the second conference win for North Pointe in their second season in the 2A Central. Last year's team was unable to win a game.
“I keep telling our players that we want to be playing our best basketball at the end of the season,” continued Coach Smith.  “We are a team that never
gives up and plays hard for 32 minutes.”  Cory McKinney led the Falcons in scoring with 26 points - connecting on 3 of 6 shots from behind the arch
and making 9 of 10 free throws down the stretch.  

Game 13 vs Canyon State
“It was an extremely rough night shooting the ball for the North Pointe Prep Falcons,” stated Coach Bob Smith. “Give Canyon State credit, they played
very well as a team tonight.” North Pointe only shot 17% as a team from the floor, making only 8 baskets out of 48 attempts. “It was just one of those
nights when sometimes the ball doesn’t want to go in the basket.” Luke Cruz led the Falcons scoring 9 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the loss, 47-
40.

Game 12 vs Phoenix Country Day
North Pointe played Phoenix Country Day extremely tough even those they lost 51-39. Trailing by only 2 points at the half, the Falcons gave the
visiting team all they could handle. Erik Johnson led the way scoring 12 points , while going 4 for 4 from the free throw line.  “I was very pleased with
how we played tonight,” stated Coach Bob Smith. “Like I said the other day, we are starting to play our best basketball of the season.”  Jake Gray
played well for the Falcons, scoring 8 points with 4 steals.

Game 11 vs Valley Christian
Erik Johnson lead the way with the hot hand knocking down four 3 pointers in the first quarter giving North Pointe a one lead going into the second.
Johnson finished the game with 20 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 4 rebounds.  “We came out on fire and ready to go,” said Coach Bob Smith. “Erik
had one of his best games of the season.”  

Game 10 vs Camp Verde
For the second night in a row sophomore guard Corey McKinney lead the North Pointe in scoring hitting two 3 pointers on his was to score 18 for the
Falcons. North Pointe played Camp Verde extremely tough in the first half; however a poor third quarter put North Pointe in too big of a hole to dig out
of and they lost to the Cowboys, 53-41. Erik Johnson played well for the Falcons, scoring 10 points and making two 3 pointers.

Game 9 vs Scottsdale Christian
Cory McKinney's 6 three pointers in the second half was not enough to help the Falcons overcome a tough Scottsdale Christian team. They lost 63-41.
“Scottsdale Christian is a very good team,” stated Coach Bob Smith.  

Game 8 vs Northwest Christian
North Pointe had their hands full playing the defending State Champions, Northwest Christian, and lost 99-53.  Cory McKinney led the Falcons with 22
points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. "Even though the Crusader's starting line up would make most college coaches happy (6’9”, 6’8’, 6’7”) we never gave
up,” said Coach Smith.

Game 7 vs Horizon Honors
The Prep's game against Horizon Honors was a tale of two halves.  The Falcons went into half time with a nine point lead and eventually pushed the
lead to 13 points  However, Horizon Honors was able to slow the game down going to the free-throw line 36 times.  “We were on a roll and building a
lead when we put them in the bonus with four minutes remaining in the third quarter that seemed to kill our momentum," said Coach Bob Smith. "We
are at out best when the clock is running and we can cause turnovers and turn them into easy baskets.”  Erik Johnson led the Falcons with 11 points.
