For the second year in a row, the 8th graders were to much for the 7th graders and
won the majority of Rock Lobster Spring Fling contests, challenges and competitions.

Channel 3's fitness expert speaks at Xtremepointe
Channel 3's fitness expert Chris Akard was the guest speaker at the standing room
only February 10th Xtremepointe. He spoke about nutrition and eating healthy and
challenged students to develop a proper workout routine free from steroids and
unnecessary supplements. Chris has been a fitness and nutrition professional for over
20 years. He is the owner of the Akard Fitness Group, a wellness corporation that
specializes in wellness for individuals and for large valley companies. He is currently
the director of wellness for Cox Communications Arizona, where he’s responsible for
creating and maintaining their Maximum Wellness Program.
