North Pointe's Varsity Cheer Competition Team kicked off the competition season with a 1st
place finish at the AIA State Qualifying Tournament in Tucson.
The Prep will compete for the State Title on January 26th in the Jobing.com Arena. Last
year was North Pointe's first year competing in the AIA and they placed 2nd in the qualifying
round and runner-up at State.
"I said this last year and I'll say it again this year - this is a very important competition for us,"
said Coach Josh Delgado, the Prep's Varsity Cheer Competition Coach. "We've won
various cheer organization's International and National Championships but this is the title we
really want. Winning the State High School Championship is our focus."
