Andrea Gray and Matteo Vaiente, winners of the Critic's
Choice Award at the State Thespian Conference in
November, have been invited to compete at the national
level.
Each summer, the International Thespian Society sponsors
a national Festival which offers a variety of workshops and
audition and performance opportunities. Students who
score a "superior" at a state-level competition are eligible
to compete at the national Festival.
This year the Festival will be held at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln, June 25th-30th. If they attend, Andrea
and Matteo will be the first students from North Pointe to
be invited to Festival.

incredibly driven individuals. They are willing to put in the hard work and this is their reward. I would like to take
credit for their success, but I have to settle for basking in the reflected glory - I can only teach technique and to a
point I can inspire. But this kind of inner drive you can't teach. I couldn't be more proud of them."
